Types of encyclopedia
Dictionaries:- Words are arranged mostly in an alphabetical order. Dictionaries provide to us the meanings of words, synonyms and etymology.
Comprehensive Encyclopedias:- These are of two types- one contains information related to all subjects like Encyclopedia Britannica, Marathi Vishwakosha etc.
Encyclopedic literature:- It is similar to an encyclopedia containing scholarly articles comprising scholarly articles providing information on various subjects.
Indexes:- Indexes are usually at the end of the books and few are published separately.
